The first advertisement appeals to me because it says above the influence. The arrow pointing up expresses to me that I need to move forward and stay away from people who try to pressure me into using drugs or any other illegal substances. I like this advertisement also because teens and even kids now a days are getting pressured into smoking and using other drugs. I've seen many commercials on this and it appeals to me when they show how a kid could ruin his/her life by taking substances that could possibly effect you and your future goals. The advertisement grabs my attention because I have had friends that have been affected by drugs and see homeless adults around the city who would steal or ask for change just to buy it. That's the biggest reason why I chose above the influence advertisement, It relates to me in a way that I have known people close to me either we're abusive or have been abused.
The advertisement below really repels me. It shows an overweight man on a McDonald's advertisement. Intsead of the slogan saying, "I'm lovin' it" It said, "I'm luggin it". This perpetuates our country in a bad way that a great deal of people are overweight. It hurts me to see advertisements like these because I myself used to be overweight and it was a huge stuggle to deal with my emotions, the way others felt about me, and the way I felt about myself. I usually tend to ignore these advertisements now because it reminds me of a time i didn't enjoy as much. It's not everytime I see an advertisement like this that I automatically look away I just keep moving forward after seeing it and look at it as an example to never become like that ever again. Those were my reasons for not liking the McDonald's advertisement.
