Non-fiction book

In this book "Freakonomics", it is about situations that you wouldn't expect. The book also has many statistics to back it up. The authors wrote this book to let people know that things may not seem the way they are. The teachers in chapter one who were being compared to the sumo wrestlers may seem like good teachers, but in reality some may be helping their students cheat so they can get a fat bonus at the end of the day. The authors wrote this to show that gangs and McDonalds have little things in common such as how they are organized. The author's wrote this book to give you a perspective that would alter your thoughts on how you looked at the situation. I personally liked the book because the authors grabbed my attention with some of its chapters.

The chapter that got most of my attention and of my group I believe was chapter 3. It was my favorite chapter because of how the authors talked about why drug dealers still live with their moms. Now you would think a drug dealer who is making lots of money would have a house by now. What this chapter didn't tell you is that drug dealers may still be living with their moms because of competition in the streets, people who are higher in the game meaning they have been in the business longer, and because some of the drug dealers just straight up can't afford it. I would recommend this book to someone who is patient and easy to engage. I would recommend this to someone who likes reading about facts and statistics.
